Overview

Gartner Group estimates 90% of large, mainstream enterprises and government agencies will use some aspect of cloud computing by 2015. That’s because applications and databases built in the cloud are accessible from anywhere anytime, scalable to meet any load, centrally managed and updated, fast, and low cost.

What we do

The cloud has radically changed the way applications are designed, tested, and deployed, and that begins with deciding which operations go in the cloud,which run locally, and how the two interact. For example, how do you get the responsiveness you need if you have a cloud database supporting a data-intensive mobile app?

We have extensive experience meeting these challenges. On demand synching, push-notifications, and fetch-as-required algorithms are just some of the techniques we use. We’re experts at giving users the performance they expect through analyzing each challenge thoroughly, optimizing code, minimizing storage, and creating algorithms that make just the right tradeoffs. This project allowed users to stream video and audio content from the cloud to their local systems, including: PC, Mac, iPhone, Android, Linux, and DLNA/UPnP-compliant devices such as televisions and set top boxes.
LeapDrive Mobile: Mobile access to files on the LeapDrive cloud

LeapDrive Mobile: Mobile access to files on the LeapDrive cloud

This app allows iPhone and Android users to access files in their LeapDrive cloud account and to upload files to the cloud for storage and easy sharing. We used advanced algorithms and low level Apple and Android tools to deliver the speed users demand.

Terabox: Fast file sharing from mobile devices

This solution shared files through cloud-based storage. It used advanced data handling algorithms such as smart caching to deliver super-fast directory fetching, file download, and file upload. It also used powerful low level tools available on iOS and Android.

DJ Turntable: Simulated DJ turntable on iPhone

This project required analyzing disc jockeys scratching records in the physical world, translating their process into mathematical formulas, receiving streaming audio from cloud storage, and delivering life-like performance using the phones’ touch interface.
LeapDrive Backup for Mac: Cloud-based, transparent, backup utility

LeapDrive Backup for Mac: Cloud-based, transparent, backup utility

This cloud storage provider needed a backup utility for their clients using Mac. Example features included: scheduled and manual backups; visibility into backups in real time, file statistics, and file histories; backups performed in seconds; backup preference setting; file restoration from the cloud to the Mac; file access from any device with a browser; etc. To deliver maximum speed using minimum resources we employed advanced techniques used in embedded engineering. The solution was built using C++, C, Cocoa, and the Mac OS X SDK.
